DAY 01: Arrive Delhi Arriving Delhi - The capital of India. Meet and Greet at the Airport. Transfer to Hotel for check in. Break fast at the hotel. Afternoon take a city tour of New Delhi & Old Delhi visiting Qutub Minar, Humayun Tomb, India Gate, Parliament House, President House, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Rajghat. Evening witness "Sound & Light" show at Red Fort to get a glimpse of the History of the Fort. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 02: Delhi / Amritsar After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive down to Amritsar. This 400 year old city has been an important centre of Sikh history, culture and tradition. The city was founded in 1579 by Guru Ramdas, the fourth guru of the Sikhs. The name Amritsar means `a pool of nectar', the pool beside which the famous Golden Temple is situated. Upon arrival, check in and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 03: Amritsar After breakfast, take a city tour visiting the famous Golden Temple and Akal Takht. Evening free and overnight at hotel.
DAY 04: Amritsar / Dalhousie After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive down to Dalhousie - named after Lord Dalhousie, who discovered the beautiful place in 1854, is situated 2,039 metres above sea level. Sprawling over and around five hills, the town is a popular summer resort. Its bewitching beauty, the serenity, the peace and the calm have attracted Indian as well as foreign tourists. Majestic green hills and vales are covered with thick forests of oak, conifers and various other varieties of flora. On arrival, check in and overnight at hotel.
DAY 05: Dalhousie After breakfast, visit Panjpulla, Jandhrighat, Bakrota Hills and around, Dain Kund which gives a lovely view of the river Beas, Ravi and Chenab, and Kalatope a fine picnic spot. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 06: Dalhousie After breakfast, take an excursion of Chamba. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 07: Dalhousie / Dharamshala After breakfast, check out and drive to Dharamshala. Originally a British hill resort Dharamshala today is characterised by a strong Tibetan influence. Built along a spur of the Dhauladhar range the hill station of Dharamshala is divided into several totally separable parts, with each part lying on a different level. While the lowest end of the town is at a height of 1250 m the higher part is just below the snowline thus leading to a wide variation in temperature between the top and the bottom. On arrival, check in and overnight at hotel.
DAY 08: Dharamshala After breakfast, visit St. John's Church, Macleodganj, School of Tibetan Studies, Tibetan Institute for the Performing Arts, and a handicrafts centre. Afternoon visit Dal Lake. Evening free and overnight at hotel.
DAY 09: Dharamshala / Manali After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Manali, an another popular hill resort that offers spectacular views of the snowcapped peaks and wooded slopes. On arrival, check in and overnight at hotel.
DAY 10 Manali After breakfast, Visit Hadimba Devi Temple, Vasistha Hot Water Springs, Club House, Tibetan Monastery. Evening free and overnight at hotel.
DAY 11 Manali After breakfast, take an excursion of Rohtang Pass (51 km) for a panoramic view of the mountain ranges and Kothi (12 km) -- also a picturesque spot. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 12 Manali / Kullu / Shimla After breakfast, check out and drive to Shimla, a beautiful hill resort magnificently robed in dense forests of oak and pine, fur and rhododendron. En-route visit Kullu - situated at a height of 1,219 metres above sea level, amidst meadows of blooming rhododendrons, scarlet sumash and orchards of apples, cherries, apricots and peaches, Kullu is one of the most beautiful Himalayan valleys. The road up the Kulu Valley is indeed picturesque, accompanied by the river Beas and its small and big tributaries of rivulets, brooks, streams and springs. On arrival, check in and overnight at hotel.
DAY 13 Shimla After breakfast, take a city tour visiting The Mall, Jakhu Hill, Christ Church, Himachal State Museum Shimla Chaura Maidan, and Glen, a popular picnic spot. Evening free and overnight at Hotel.
DAY 14 Shimla / Delhi After breakfast, check out and drive to Delhi. On arrival, check in and overnight at hotel.
DAY 15 Delhi After late breakfast, check out from the Hotel. Day for shopping and visiting Lotus temple, Delhi Haat, etc. and transfer to International Airport for onward destination. |
